Our new Faith Courses are specifically designed to build you up in your faith and equip you to know and share extraordinary life in Christ. Our goal is not that you simply know more about God, but that you know God in a deeper and more personal way.
JULY 15-19
VBS will run Mon-FrI 8:45am-12pm, and is open to 3 year olds through rising 5th graders. VBS registration is now full. REGISTER as a volunteer or to be added to our wait-list!

Why are you here? What gives your life meaning and purpose each day? Join us after Easter for a new sermon series beginning April 20 & 21 as we connect our work and service with the work of Jesus through us in all we do. Together, we’ll learn to be “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain” (1 Corinthians 15:58).

Our Father is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 24 in the Fellowship Hall. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to participate! In addition to egg hunts, we will have food trucks, games, and activities for kids. Egg cartons will be provided for kids.

APRIL 19-20 TABLE MOUNTAIN INN IN GOLDEN
Our women’s retreat theme is “The Tree of Life” at Table Mountain Inn in Golden, April 19-20, 5pm Friday - 4pm Saturday. Our speaker is Sarah Salzberg. Registration will open Friday, February 9 and closes on Thursday, March 14. Registration opens Friday, February 9!

On Wednesdays in Lent, our life in Christ will be strengthened as we hear the witness of those who were present as part of Jesus’ journey to the cross. Along the way, we’ll meet villains, sinners, a disloyal one, a betraying one, a woman possessed by demons; and others.

This course presents a systemic study of the basic doctrine of the Christian Church from a Lutheran perspective. Subjects in this section include: the person and work of Christ, conversion, justification by faith, prayer, Law and Gospel, Sacraments, the Church. You are welcome in this class at any time. You do not need to have participated in Foundations 1 to understand the topics covered in Foundations Part 2.

C.S.Lewis once wrote that, “The Christian who did most for the present world were those who thought most of the next.” In this course we will peer into the great mystery of what our eternal life will be like. Topics include: heaven, hell, death, the resurrection of the body, judgment day, the new heaven and new earth and the return of Christ.
SATURDAYS 10AM-12PM / JANUARY 20 - APRIL 13
Have you, a friend, or neighbor experienced the loss of a loved one? Our Father begins a new Grief Share course led by Pastor Kelly Crabbe. This support group will lead a grieving person through a 13-week path to receive valuable guides and tips at providing relief, comfort and peace of mind.

This introductory class gives you an opportunity to explore life and its meaning from a historic Lutheran Christian perspective. It is a place to ask questions about the chief teachings of the Christian faith as they are believed, confessed and taught in the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The course is relaxed, nonthreatening, and fun. The classes are for individuals who are new to the Lutheran church, as well as serving as a refresher for those with a Lutheran background.

This course is an introduction on how to defend your faith and challenge unbelief in the modern world, with a focus on developing a Biblical method of argumentation that will be effective in giving others a reason for the hope you have in Christ.

This introductory course explores the major themes, events, and people that are brought to life in the Bible. Special emphasis will be placed on the opening chapters of Genesis. As the first book of the Bible, Genesis initiates a grand story. Setting the scene, it provides information that helps the reader understand all that follows.
SAT SEPT 9 / 5TH-9TH GRADE STUDENTS
First Communion Class will take place on Saturday, September 9 from 9:00-11:30am and is open to all 5th through 9th grade students who have not yet been confirmed that would like to begin participating in the Sacrament of Holy Communion. This class will be taught by Courtney Limmer, our Director of Student Life. Students should be accompanied by at least one parent during this time. GRATITUDE & CELEBRATION / NOV 11-12
On Sunday, November 12, from 12-2pm, we will mark the 50th anniversary of Our Father's first worship service, which took place on November 11, 1973. We will celebrate with a "Novemberfest" event, and have a wonderful meal catered by Helga's German Restaurant, a Beer Garden, and music provided by The Austrian Connection. Food will include shredded ham shank, smoked and beer Bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad, soft pretzels with cheese sauce and mustard, and apple strudel!
NOTE: Reservations are closed and the event has met its maximum number of RSVPs.

MEN'S MINISTRY EVENT
Save the date for the annual summer Men's Ministry backpacking trip August 4-7. The theme for this year will be, "Are You a Nobody?" The hiking area will be northwest of Rocky Mountain National Park and there will be fishing opportunities. Instructions will be provided on gear to be brought and other provisions for the hike. LOVING MY NEIGHBOR / MAY 2023
As Christians, we know we are called to love our neighbor. We may even grasp that "neighbor" encompasses more than just the people living next door or down the street. But what we too often don't know is how to begin. How do we love our neighbor? Where do we start? What does this look like in our increasingly isolated world?
We embark on a journey together to explore God's Word about what it means to Love My Neighbor, through our sermon series, guest teachers, sharing stories and Sunday connections to join Jesus on His mission. He invites you to join him.
FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS / JUNE 24-JULY 1
Vocatio is a free, faith-filled and fun opportunity for high school students to explore God’s calling and direction for them. This weeklong retreat, set for June 24 through July 1, encourages high schoolers to find God’s calling for their lives through experiencing many aspects of Seminary life including worship and devotions, sessions with professors, and some fun and recreation!
Participants will learn about the Lutheran faith and various church work vocations, participate in a servant event and attend a virtual Concordia University System college fair. The deadline to register is May 27.
