Psalms
SUN 9:30AM / LED BY CASSIE SCHERMBECK
ROOM 300/301
We’ll begin a 50 Day Psalms challenge, delving deep into fifty Psalms for meditation, immeasurably more blessings than we can ask or imagine, and tasting and seeing that the Lord is good. In this Sunday morning Bible study, we’ll take a different look at the Psalms: the structure, organization and purpose that will enhance our time alone with God in the Psalms this fall.

Practical Ways to Get More out of Spending Time in God’s Word
As Lutheran Christians we place a strong emphasis on the objective truth of our faith. We rightly emphasize that our salvation is not dependent upon our emotional experience. At the same time any cursory reading of the Bible demonstrates that love, joy, peace, and hope flow naturally from the Good News of God’s love. During the time of the Reformation Martin Luther developed a very practical way for Christians to slow down and get more out of their reading of God’s Word. He believed that God could actually speak directly into whatever was going on in our lives. Join us as we learn more about Luther’s method of personal Bible study and take time to start putting it into practice.
